    This auction is for a wonderful quality hand coiled Hopi Polychrome jar created by renowned award winning Hopi potter Rachel Sahmie. Jar comes with 'Honoring the Legacy' award winning blue ribbon it received from the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff Arizona where it was offered in 1994, some 27 years ago for 0.00 and sold. This is a smaller example, so consider 0.00 almost 30 years ago, that was a pretty penny. Current award winning examples this size with Museum associations are realizing modestly 0.00+ in galleries and auctions. Using a cloth tape measure the jar measures 13 1/2" in circumference (around it's belly), measures approx. 4 1/4" across x 3" tall. Traditional Hopi design representations with slip. Jar has been part of a private Native American collection. Many close up high resolution photos provided of every angle possible for your review. In excellent condition.
