A Vintage signed Garnet Pavatea decorated bowl /dish.  Signed on bottom.
Garnet Pavatea began making pottery in the 40's. She worked with red clay, as well as black and red slip.
She often demonstrated her creative process for visitors at the Museum of Northern Arizona. Her work is held at several museums worldwide, including the National Museum of the American Indian, the University of Michigan Museum of Art, the C.N. Gorman Museum, and the Museum of the Red River.
Measures 5" in diameter, 3 1/4" tall.
Most of our items are Vintage or used and are purchased from auctions and estate sales. We are not considered experts on these items and descriptions are based our best knowledge, experience, and research. Statements in regards to maker, age, or origin, particularly on unmarked pieces, need to be evaluated and confirmed by you the buyer.
