    VINTAGE HOPI CANTEEN by LORETTA SILAS POLEAHLA
    (1964-2007)
    Here we offer a wonderful hand-painted green-ware canteen by LORETTA SILAS POLEAHLA
    .
    Approximately 7" Tall, 3 1/2" deep and 6 3/4" wide.
    It is in beautiful condition.  The leather strap has created a very, very faint line on the back. Please examine pictures closely
    Loretta Silas Poleahla (1964-2007)
    was one of eight daughters of well-known potter Roberta Youvella-Silas. Loretta learned her craft from her mother and was a true traditional artist.
    S
    ister of Louann Silas, Antionette Silas, Jofern Silas Puffer and Venora Silas all great potters. in their own right. She lived in the First Mesa Village of Polacca.
    She dug her own clay and used traditional all natural paints made from plants and minerals. Her work was pit fired outdoors.

    When Listing, we are forced to guess at the weight and size of he box before it's even packed.  We don't package it until it is sold in case there are combined orders or additional questions requiring more photos.

    (with a peanut buffer) ALL POTTERY and most baskets.  We've had many, many elated customers who received a severely damaged box, but found their item safe and sound in the inner box. We do not skimp on packing materials, using bubble wrap and popcorn.  We recycle materials whenever possible to be environmentally friendly.
    FOR SECURE DELIVERY AND INSURANCE PURPOSES, WE MEET AND SURPASS ALL USPS, FED-EX & UPS MINIMUM PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS.
    We normally ship within 1 business day of payment.
