    Description

Vintage Silver-Plated Jewish Sidur Hebrew Prayer Book Circa 50s-60s
This Sidur (Jewish prayer book), was published in Israel in the 50s or 60s, and contains only Hebrew language.
The hinged silver-plated cover is in good condition apart from two indentations. The front cover is ornate with the word ‘Sidur’ in Hebrew. The back cover is inscribed with the words ‘Mazkeret Yisrael (souvenir of Israel) along with a representation of David’s Citadel and the words in Hebrew ‘Migdal David’. As shown there is also an indentation on the back cover. The cover edge is inscribed with the words Sidur and Israel in Hebrew along with a 7-limbed candelabra.
The book measures 3 3/4'' X 2 3/4'' X 1” thick, was clearly used but is in good condition with age-related wear, cuffing and some curling of page corners with all 476 pages intact with no tears. Apart from faint number markings on inside front cover (photo #3), there are no other markings.
