    Description

This is a reproduction pair of ERDL early pattern poplin trousers of the type worn in Vietnam. These pants feature a button fly, drawstrings at the legs, knee darts, waist take-up adjusters, and even the little survival pocket inside the left thigh cargo pocket.
This pair was I believe made by Kay Canvas (although label says "Kay Clothing") and distributed by Soldier of Fortune out of the UK some years ago. I do not know the exact country of origin for where these were actually made, but China is a fair guess.
The original run for these pants had one annoying feature: the legs were too long! Most came from the manufacturer with something like a 36" (!) inseam that no amount of washing and drying would shorten up. This pair has had that corrected and has been hemmed to a more realistic length (at least in line with the tag now); importantly the new hem still has the drawstrings included (something that was often omitted even in real wartime trousers that got hemmed to fit better).
New inseam measures approximately 29" from bottom of crotch to bottom of leg, but the way these trousers fit, this is more like a 31" inseam (overall length from top of waistband to bottom of leg is 41"). Waist at it's maximum fit's 30" as stated on the label and can be cinched down to fit smaller waists.
Pants have been washed and dried so additional shrinkage from laundering should be minimal.
