Description

Used but in good condition.  This is a Prior Scientific X-Theta Stage System.   It consists of the H101X X-Theta stage, the H152KB Joystick with Keyboard, and the H128V2 controller.  It also has the optional linear scale and rotary encoders.  The encoders are RSF Electronics, the linear encoder is a type MSA 001-6 MI 120mm Interval 20 um. These encoders both terminate in a round 7 pin plug.
I do not have a readout for the optional encoders and they are not needed for stage operation as the entire stage operation can be handled by the joystick and programmed via the keypad.
The system powers on and I am able to use the joystick to move the stage along the X axis and rotate the Theta axis.  I do not have a manual and cannot further test the system and do not know how to program or configure it so it is being sold as-is, as pictured.
The Prior X-Theta stage system enables your microscope to function as a stand- alone inspection station, with a keypad providing all the necessary tools to program 50 different rotation and/or index patterns. It mounts (or retrofits) onto virtually any microscope and setup is simple. The easy-to-use menu driven keypad steps you through the programming of the stage. The system,when compared with manual inspection systems, greatly reduces operator fatigue and error. No computer or other external devices are required, making it especially well-suited to hard disk drive inspection.
The X-Theta stage is available with chucks for 65 and 95-millimeter disks and offers precise, repeatable results. Points can be input, stored and recalled. A standard communications port allows the system to be controlled from a PC for expanded measurement and data collection techniques.
