But they are functional and certainly not wildly expensive! Each sheet is 8 cm square (3.1 inches square). Thickness is approximately that of manila folder sheet or ordinary card stock.

Although Affordable Filters offers primarily filters for microscopes there are many other possible applications for our polarized sheets. For example, replacing films on vehicle instruments. The following is an endorsement from one of our many satisfied customers:
"Thanks so much for the film, my film on the odometer of my Honda VTX had curled from heat and age (2003) and I read somewhere it is possible to replace it. I took one sheet and rotated it until the odometer reading jumped out at me and cut six pieces big enough to fit on my bike screen out of each sheet. Honda says replace the whole speedo unit, then you lose the vehicle mileage and pay $$$$$$. I did not have nor know how to apply film glue so I cleaned the lcd screen really good, removed the protective cover, pressed it down and put a tiny trace of RTV on each corner to hold it in place. The bezel covered the corners when assembled and the screen looks brand new. If anyone asks if your screen will work for this the answer is absolutely! I already gave you positive feedback but wanted you to be aware of this trick if you did not already know, thanks again."
