OLYMPUS U-LWUCD CONDENSER, LONG WORKING DISTANCE 4 POSITION CONDENSER FOR OLYMPUS BX51WI MICROSCOPES AND OLYMPUS BX50WI MODELS. The Olympus U-LWUCD model condenser preceded the Olympus Wi-UCD model condenser and also has the same 4 position turret for DIC inserts (2 for 31.5mm and 2 for 44mm) as the Olympus WI-UCD condenser. It has the same numerical aperture as the Olympus WI-UCD (0.8). It is also IR compatible and has the same strain free achromatic/aplanatic internal and top lenses as the Olympus WI-UCD condenser. It works well with the Olympus water immersion objectives designed for the BX51WI and BX50WI. This condenser was tested and fully serviced by a Olympus factory trained professional and has all new condenser blades. The glass lenses are sharp and clear with no scratches or staining. It accepts the same Olympus DIC prisms as the Wi-UCD condenser (U-LDPW series) and includes two wrenches with all required allen screws for securing the prisms in the condenser. It is designed for brightfield, polarized light, and DIC utilizing water immersion optics. Also included is a 58mm polarizer (for visible and 775nm DIC) which can be rotated 360 degrees over the field diaphragm. No other polarizers, analyzers, wave plates, or DIC inserts are included.
