    Description

    This is a nice Olympus BX40 microscope.  It comes with a 20x uplanfl objective as well as a compatible 3rd part 4x plan objective.  The base lights up and the dimmer works.  There is a slight whine sometimes during operation, not sure why but it works fine.  It is extremely bright at full blast and I have enjoyed using it but I just have too many microscope projects--this one is complete and needs a new home.
    The head is third party but likely made in the same factory as the original--it looks and wors just the same, but has a slightly smaller dovetail.  I 3d printed an adapter to mount it centered on the olympus body.
    The 20x works great but has a small mark on the top lens which does not seem to affect the image even when projected onto an aps-c dslr.
