  • Condition: Very Good-Excellent overall vint cond: Offered is this gorgeous & very well-pres, now nearly 50 yr old, mid-20th c Navajo, Native American, wheel-thrown & hand dec, lg 10 1/4" D glzd cer charger. It feats a central medallion motif of a flying eagle, soaring high above the desert floor, seen peppered w/a ring of 7 Peyote buttons cacti. The view of the eagle & of the ground is a bird's eye view, seeing the top of the bird w/outstretched wings, knifing through the air above the Peyote button cacti on the ground far below it. The lg cer charger is a full 10 1/4" across & feats soft bone white, deep olive green, blk & carmine red. The eagle's realized w/a white outline of its flying profile, imposed upon a mottled field of hand applied carmine red, w/ragged edges. 7 peyote buttons surround the eagle on the charger basin's perimeter, also w/a ragged blk edge. Signed 'Mang, USA, Peyote Platter, Prime Line, 73-74 in wht line over blk on the back. Absolutely beautiful. No cond issues. Terrific.
