Description

Almost any bright field laboratory microscope can be easily converted for use with dark field illumination if under condenser is a filter holder.
The set of darkfield stops included in this auction vary in size from 5 mm to 19.5 mm. Included in this set are dark field stops with following diameters: 5mm, 10mm, 16mm, 19.5mm. Overall filter diameter – 27mm.
In oblique illumination, direct light is restricted to a single azimuth, striking the specimen from only one direction rather than bathing it with an even distribution of light. The net effect is to reveal details in pseudo-relief to produce a shadowed effect on the side opposite the light source and bright specimen highlights on the side nearest the illuminator. You will receive the filter set shown in the above picture.  The item is for sale as described, as pictured. Microscope, condenser and holder are not included.
