Finally! An affordable DIY Kit for polarizing your 32mm filtered microscope!!
If you have an Omax or any similarly configured microscope (see photos) this polarization kit is for you.
Up your exploring enjoyment as well your photographs!

If your microscope has:
1) a 32mm filter tray just below the condenser,
2) your viewing eye piece(s) are in the range of 20 to 25 mm in diameter (.75 - 1.00 inches), and
3) you already use lens eye cups (who doesn't?), you are ready to get started!
What you will receive (please see
ALL
photos):
1. One 32 mm polarized filter.
2. Two eyepiece polarized filters approximately 25mm diameter (25mm is the default size. If you wish 20mm eyepiece filters please specify - preferably before purchase). Keep in mind you want to closely approximate your lens barrel outside diameter so the eye cups will secure the filter.
3. A 1.5 X 3.0 inch polarized sheet to use in other configurations, to cut your own eye lens pieces, or as spare material should an original get lost.
4. Detailed instructions on how to set up your polarization.
Note: all filter material will be shipped with protective film still attached. You will be reminded in the instructions to remove it.
Are these the highest quality filters like those used at Mayo Clinic or the Center for Disease Control?
Heck NO!
But they are functional as you can see from the photos. They are cut from sheet stock which we also sell on ebay.  Thickness is approximately that of manila folder sheet or ordinary card stock. We
do not
laminate these filters as doing so significantly impacts the effectiveness of the system
This is an affordable filter set for the serious amateur, university student, high school lab, or even creative professional.
Photos depict (in order) a polarized strand of normally dull synthetic clothing fiber, dyed human hair (could be my wife's!), carpet fiber in brightfield, then polarized, and then polarized once again with blue center stop (please see our other
Rheinberg
filter offerings), and lastly, ordinary sand before and after polarization. All photos were taken using our Omax microscope. Items to be received (except for the microscope!) and general setup pictures are shown last.
Our techniques are professional, and we use precision equipment.
Finally, we will unconditionally guarantee this filter set for 90 days, as we want it to work for you.
