So you get in these 5 compact volumes, the most interesting and captivating parts of The Talmud. Besides for having some very accurate and timely advice, it will give you a sense of the times (100 B.C. - 400 A.D.), because it has a lot of references to world customs and norms and the state of affairs of such countries as Greece, Persia, Egypt, and Rome.
Condition: Pages are nice and clean without any writing in the interior. Binding is excellent and tight in all volumes. All pages are clear and the print is bold. Minor digs or scuffing to covers. N.I.I.(2)
The Agadah are those sections of the Talmud focusing on the stories, legends and interactions between the Pharisees themselves and their sages as a community and between them and the Political authorities of the time, whether it was between the Romans, Greeks, or Persians. It is also those parts which deal with the Rabbis' exegesis of Scripture.
These are fascinating revelations as they transpired between the years 100 B.C. and 400 A.D. which clarifies many facts about an era where information is scanty. It also may have insinuations about Jesus.
Also called Legends Of The Talmud.
