More Information:
This bulb is no longer manufactured by Ushio. I bought a new bulb to go into this Dolan Jenner Fiber-Lite MH-100 Metal Halide Machine Vision Illuminator where I thought the bulb was bad. Turns out the Hatch MC100-1-J-UNNU Electronic Metal Halide Ballast is bad.
In my communications with Hatch and Dolan Jenner, there are a few points. 1
The Dolan Jenner Fiber-Lite MH-100, Dolan Jenner says "The Hatch ballast was used with the 100w Ushio metal halide lamp, but it was Ushio that designated the Hatch ballast as compatible with their lamp at the time (maybe 1992?). Ushio has since discontinued the lamps ( a few years ago, and the MH-100 was also discontinued at that time).
Hatch says "Unfortunately, this lamp is not compatible with our ballast. The only lamps that can used are listed on our spec sheet. See below link for your review."
