    the original copyright date for Volume I was 1909

    the book was translated from the German manuscript by Henrietta Szold.
    The copy has been in our home Judaica library since it was published 108
    years ago having belonged to my grandmother.
    The book itself appears to have never been read and shows normal age related wear from sitting on a shelf for so many years.
    It is in remarkable condition with just a few worn corners on the outside covers.
    It has what seems to be a pressed board blue cover with with light wear to the boards and no writing on any of the 424 pages.
    The copyright page states that this book is the “Seventh Impression” and “Twenty-First Thousand.”
    The author Louis Ginzberg has written a 9-page preface dated March 24, 1909 (New York) and dedicated the book to his brother Asher Ginzberg.
    The contents include 6 chapters:
    The Creation of the World; Adam; The Ten Generations; Noah; Abraham; and Jacob.
