Full Frame 2X Microscope Adapter
Fits all Sony E Mount Models (NEX/A1/A7/A9, etc)
This adapter fits most common Microscopes having either a Trinocular Port or an Ocular Port with an inside Diameter of 23.2mm, 30mm or 30.5mm. It provides 2X Magnification when used with a Full Frame Camera. This means the Magnification will be twice what you would see in a standard 10x Ocular, with a Field of View approximately one half of what you would see in a 10x Ocular. The reason for 2X is anything less than about 1.8x magnification will vignette the larger frame of a Full Frame photographic image.. showing dark corners or a circular image within a dark frame. At 2X you get a full corner to corner image in a Full Frame Camera.
This adapter can also be used in Cameras with the smaller (APS-C) imagers, note that due to the Crop Factor of these Cameras the "
apparent magnification
" would be closer to 3X.
